There are many different types of bad bites. Most proplems can be grouped onto one of three major classifications, based on how the first molars ( shown in blue) meet each other when the mouth is closed.
Remember, each bad bite is different. Your proplem may not fit into any single group.
Class I: The jaws are in the correct position, but the teeth are crooked
Class II: The upper jaw just out too far, which results in “buck teeth”
Claas III: The lower jaw has outgrown the upper jaw, causing a “underbite”.
