Infection control system

Strict Compliance with Sterilization Protocols in Dentistry

At Minh Khai Dental Clinic, we implement a closed-loop instrument sterilization system that strictly follows infection control guidelines in dental practice. Our goal is to ensure a safe clinical environment and minimize the risk of cross-contamination during all dental examinations and treatments.

Ensuring Patient Safety in Every Procedure

We understand that sterilization is a major concern for patients visiting dental clinics, particularly regarding the risk of transmitting infectious diseases. Therefore, all cleaning and sterilization procedures at our clinic are carried out rigorously in accordance with professional guidelines and current infection control standards.

Instrument Sterilization Process at Minh Khai Dental Clinic

All instruments used in treatment are processed through a comprehensive, closed sterilization workflow, ensuring full compliance with dental infection control regulations.

The process includes the following steps:

  • Pre-treatment: After use, instruments are immersed in a primary disinfectant solution to reduce microbial load, followed by thorough cleaning with water and detergent.
  • Ultrasonic cleaning: Instruments are placed in an ultrasonic cleaner with a secondary disinfectant solution to effectively remove residual biological debris from surfaces.
  • Drying: Instruments are dried using specialized equipment in preparation for packaging and sterilization.
  • Dental handpiece processing: Dental handpieces—high-risk instruments for cross-infection—are handled using a separate, strictly controlled protocol.
  • Packaging: Instruments are individually sealed in sterilization pouches with color indicators to monitor sterilization status.
  • Sterilization (Autoclaving): Instruments are sterilized using high-pressure steam in an autoclave at temperatures compliant with Ministry of Health standards.
  • Storage: After sterilization, instruments are stored in sterile cabinets to prevent recontamination prior to use.

All stages are regularly monitored and validated to ensure sterilization effectiveness before instruments are used in patient care.
